Highlights:
- 2nd – 3rd level support of the Railcorp Standard Operating Environment (SOE)
- Customisation of the Railcorp SOE for the Engineering department
- Support of Windows 2000 & XP operating system incorporating installations, repair of registry settings, configuration for data and application access, network connectivity and data recovery
- Support of Engineering specific software incorporating installation and application troubleshooting
- Support of remote users (satellite sites) incorporating remote installation, connectivity, troubleshooting and file synchronisation
- Daily support of ad-hoc user requests
- Support of CAD specific file and print requests involving queues, fonts and drivers
- Support of Internet and Intranet access. This includes the configuration of browsers software as well as domain access approvals
- Hardware modification, repair and upgrades of desktop’s, professional worksation’s and laptop’s
- Liason to Asset Management client
- Data recovery of faulty storage devices
- Image (SOE) deployment and customisation
- Rollout and migration of all Engineering leased equipment
- Preparation of successive SOE builds including testing, storage and deployment
- Call logging, coordination and follow-up of all 3rd party hardware repairs for both Desktop and Laptop (HP, Toshiba, Dell, Acer, Compaq).
