Of the 24 years I’ve been involved in the IT industry, the last ten (10) have been the most exciting as I’ve embarked on a personal journey to re-train, re-learn and re-THINK about automation as it pertains to business and our lives.
In 2011, I designed and developed a small business cloud solution which I deployed to my largest clients. The solution incorporated hosted Exchange mail, NAS (local file storage, profiles & policies), Cloud file storage & Microsoft Azure for Apps. The solution has led to partnerships with several Australian & International innovators including Shoeboxed (now Squirrel Street), Synology, Solution Union, Xero, Dropbox, Web24 & Dreamscape.
In May 2012, I witnessed an entire industry disappear overnight (Google Panda & Penguin updates). Consequence I built a Social Media model for driving traffic via content syndication on social portals including Reddit, Twitter, Google Plus & Facebook.
Over the last 7 years I have built a 3-tiered website offering for small businesses which incorporates an ecommerce solution and templates for easy plug-n-play business listings.
The IT space has never been more interesting or innovative and despite almost 25 years in the industry I’m ‘always learning’!
